Guy Fawkes!

Yesterday was Guy Fawkes!   November the 5th.   Guy Fawkes was the one who planned to explode  the parliament in England.   England actually calls it a "Bonfire".  Every year, The whole of England burns a scarecrow.  They dress the scarecrow to look like Guy Fawkes.   When that's all done they eventually burn it.   For some reason New Zealand celebrates it too.   But with fire works.  I had a very great night with my Family.  Here are some photos from yesterdays celebration.

Dancing with the stars. (2019 writing)

Bella is an orphan.   She has been alone her whole life.
She is now 13 years old.  Her dream is to become a Ballet dancer.

One day, Bella planned to escape the orphanage.
She didn’t like how the adults treated her.   They treated her like garbage.
When it was Night time, Bella snuck out.   She almost forgot the
Mirror her mother gave her.
Bella was very young at the time.  Her mother made a frame for the mirror,
\and put stickers
around the frame  saying “I love you bella - Mom”.   Bella opened the
door and crept out
into the hall.
Midnight struck.  Bella crept past Mrs Jonathan’s door
.  She was just about to past Mr Samuel’s room……….. BOOM! Mr
Samuel’s door flies open.
Mr Samuel yelled at Bella.  “GET BACK TO YOU BED!!, YOU THINK
WE DON’T HAVE
CAMERAS!!”.
Bella stormed back to her bed and went to sleep.

The next morning, Bella ran to the bathroom, with all her stuff,
and she leaped
out of the window.  It wasn’t that high.   Even though she
was on the second floor,
she still made it.  She ran to the front where the gate is.
 She quickly jumped over
the gate,
and she ran as fast as she could.   At the gate was Mr Sameul,
standing there,
screaming, “BELLA!!!!”.

Bella got to the city, she felt awful.   She remembered her
best friend Jonathan.
She didn’t want to go back but she had to.  Bella ran back to
the Orphanage.
Mr Samuel was on the foot step.  Bella walked slowly to Mr
Samuel.
She got punished. She had to clean the dishes, mob the floor,
make everyone’s bed,
and she had to clean the bathroom.  Jonathan heard the news.
“You tried to sneak out without me?”  Bella said “
Why do you think I came back”.

Being A Good Daughter

Being a good daughter

Good daughters are mature

Being a good daughter is to respect your parents, do your chores, and to clean the house without being told too.

For example: if you see the lounge/kitchen is a mess, you should help your Mum out. You should clean  without your Mum telling you, she would know that you are mature enough to do stuff without being told.

Being a good daughter is to be respectful

You can be a good daughter by respecting your parents, not just your parents, peers around you, and your siblings.
For example: If your brother takes something from you, instead of getting mad you should sit him down and talk to him about being respectful not to touch your things.

Good daughters are good listeners.
If your Mum is trying to talk to you, turn off your phone and take the time to talk to her.  Technically, you are spending quality time with her.
For example:  If your Dad/Mum had a hard time at work, you should talk to them and cheer him up.  It would be good if you have little laughs with your parents, one day you wouldn't have a moment like that ever again.  So spend the most time with your parents, You would love to see your parents happy.

If you want to be a good daughter, you should always remember to respect your parents, and help them out.

Do you want to be a Good daughter?

Do you got the challenge?

I challenge you to be a good daughter!!

Complex sentences

Task Description: WALT: Structure an explanation piece of writing correctly
For this task I had to highlight each part of a sentence red or blue.  Red means if one part of the sentence sounds weird on its own. Blue means if the other part of the sentence sounds good on its own.
e.g: The dog barked, and it was loud
The dog barked, and it was loud.

Genomics

Today Team 5 got a chance to work with Glen Brae, and Glen Innes primary.
First we had to get put into groups of 4 or 5. Then the other schools had to split up and join us Pt Englanders to make a group of 8 or 9.  We had to greet each other and tell them our names.  3 girls from Glen Brae joined our group.  Maya, Lilo, and Candise, and, there was us, the Pt England girls.  Calais, Angel, Skye, Leilani, and Me.   We all greeted each other and we all talked.   We got called to go in the street. We had spot prizes for the people who got the genomics question right.   Maya, Lilo, and Candice, were very kind.  They brought a cake to show the cells of a plant.  Professor Yanny and Professor Terry challenged all the groups to take a quiz as a team.  Our group name was "Dynamite".  We tied with another team named the "Hp girls".  For our prize we got a cricket ball, obsidian, (a rock from a volcano, and badges.
